Arrakis uses Telegram Stars as the current payment method. No crypto wallet is needed for basic usage, and today's live payments flow runs through Telegram.
What are Telegram Stars
Telegram Stars are a digital currency built into Telegram. You can buy them directly inside the app using standard payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card.
Mini apps and bots on Telegram can accept Stars as payment. Arrakis uses this system so users can pay for in-app features without needing any external tools.
How it works
Get Stars
Purchase Telegram Stars inside the Telegram app using your preferred payment method.
Use in Arrakis apps
When an Arrakis mini app offers a paid feature, you can pay with your Stars balance directly.
No extra setup
No wallet connections, no seed phrases, no browser extensions. It's all handled by Telegram.
Do I need a wallet?
No. At the current stage, a crypto wallet is not required for basic access or payments. Telegram Stars are the only payment method.
Will this change?
The token is confirmed as part of the Arrakis roadmap, but it is not live yet. If new payment methods are added, this page will be updated.
